After two scoreless innings, the Chinooks erupted for four runs in the third. Phoenix West opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly before Cal Wipf, Drew Hurst, and JJ Pruneau delivered consecutive RBI hits to build a 4-0 lead

Chugiak added three more runs in the fourth to put the game out of reach. Kirby Jenkins drew an RBI walk, Wipf added his second RBI of the game on a groundout, and Pruneau was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to cap the scoring at 7-0.

The Chinooks made the most of six hits and seven walks. Tate Greene finished a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs scored, while Reese Vassar went 1-for-2 with two runs and a walk. Wipf drove in two runs, and Pruneau also collected two RBIs. Hurst added an RBI single, while Jenkins and West each drove in a run.

On the mound, Mason Trotter was outstanding, tossing a complete-game five-inning shutout. He allowed just three hits, struck out four, and worked around three walks to keep the Oilers off the scoreboard.

The Chinooks will have an off day tomorrow and then are back at Lee-Jordan on Saturday once again against the Oilers.
