Books with Chinooks

Books with Chinooks is an annual favorite at the Chugiak-Eagle River Public Library.  Sue Sommers the Youth Services Librarian helps coordinate the event each year that allows three Chinook players to read children's books to a group of interested youngsters.  It's a small way to help serve the community and help reinforce the importance of reading to some young minds.  This years's players included second year Chinook, Peyton Niemann from Wichita, Kansas, Jayden Hill from Frisco, Texas and Kade Smith from Searcy, Arkansas .  After reading several books with energy and enthusiasm, the ballplayers signed some autographs.
