In the third and final day of the Alaska Baseball Scout Showcase, the pitching continued to shine. The Chinooks pitchers (John Green-5.0 IP, Peyton Niemann 1.0 IP) only gave up 3 runs on five hits. For the second game in a row, the opposing pitchers, this time from the Anchorage Bucs were just a bit better... well maybe more than a bit. The Bucs used four pitchers (Zan Rose, Garvey Rumary, Elijah Dew and Mike Sarhatt) that combined for a no-hitter in the seven inning exhibition finale for both teams. The Fish would have five players reach base in the game, all via the base on balls. The Bucs would get an RBI single by designated hitter Ryan Callahan in the first inning and two more runs in the third inning to account for all the offense needed for the win. The four Buc pitchers would strike out eight Nooks in seven innings. Next up for the Chinooks is a 6:00 pm game versus the Anchorage Glacier Pilots as they return to ABL league play.
