Chinooks drop two to Miners in Palmer
The Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks lost two close games on Friday evening to the Mat-Su Miners, 3-2 in the opener and 8-6 in the nightcap. The first game was a pitcher's duel as both starters finished the 7 inning affair. The Chinooks Nolan Livsey would take the loss in allowing only 3 runs on just 2 hits. and the Miners Noah Kendrick would earn the win and he allowed just two runs on only 3 Chinook hits. Game 2 was a game the Fish let get away late. The Nooks took a 6-3 lead after a 5 run 4th inning. The Miners woiuld claw back with 2 in the 5th and 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to win by 2. Next up for the Chinooks is their final matchup with the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Lee Jordan Field on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
