Bucs hold on for win over Chinooks
The Anchorage Bucs defeated the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at Lee Jordan Field. Nolan Livsey and Adyn Collins threw 7 consecutive innings of shutout baseball for the Nooks. Unfortuanately for the Fish, the three runs scored by the Bucs in the first two innings were enough to hold on for the victory. Kade Smith would log two hits, one a double and Jayden Hill would hit his first homer of the summer in the 2nd inning and Louis Zulaica had an RBI double that made it a one run game in the 5th inning. But Eduardo Torres and Andrew Rudd, the final two Buc pitchers out of the bullpen, would shut down the CER offense, posting zeros in the final four frames to close things out. The two teams will play again at Lee Jordan Field on Monday at 6 pm.
